Whether you're brand new to the bridal boutique industry, or you've been in the game for a long time, chances are you've heard about BrideCo.
BrideCo is a a trade association for independent bridal retailers which offers support and advice to those in the industry, along with other great business benefits.
We spoke to Sue Lovell from the association to find out everything there is to know about BrideCo.
What are the Benefits of Joining BrideCo?
"BrideCo Members are able to offer their customers free wedding dress attire Insurance, up to £1000," says Sue.
"This gives additional peace of mind when placing orders, knowing the deposit paid is fully insured, as well as insuring the wedding dress up until the day of the wedding."
"Customers have the opportunity to upgrade to full wedding insurance at a discounted rate, available from £18.00."
"BrideCo gets a commission from upgraded insurances, which we usually give to a chosen charity, however this year, we were able to help out one of our own members who had suffered a devastating fire at her home."
"BrideCo negotiated a finance facility for our qualifying member stores, offering 12 months interest free payment plan to brides."
"We also offer a mediation service, if there are instances where an independent third party perspective is required, either between store and customer or store and supplier."
"The main advantage of being a member is being able to talk to other owners, in a professional and positive environment."
"Our members are so supportive, helpful and respectful, and understand the power that working together, and supporting one another as individuals in a co-operative is far more powerful and positive than working against each other."
"We are proud of the industry we represent, and want to promote the value and professionalism of the independents."
"The wealth of experience and expertise that is shared with others is exceptional, and it truly is a place for like-minded owners to offer support to others, ask for advice when needed, with the full understanding that the responses you get are always with the best of intentions."
